Unique Ideas For Your Backyard Shed

Since the popularity of sheds has risen so much since the covid pandemic, the uses people have found for a backyard oasis or workshop have become more and more unique. Here are some our favorite ideas we have seen.

A "Tiny Home" Airbnb

Check out this tiny airbnb located in Indiana that started from a backyard shed. This shed can serve as a way to make some extra money on the side while not having to break the bank to invest in a larger property.

A Guest House

As someone who has family come and visit from out of state often a backyard shed turned guest room/house seems like such a perfect option. I don't want family to stay at a hotel, but sometimes the house feels crowded with too many people staying for an extended period of time. Bonus: When your shed isn't being used by friends and family, it can serve as a great little escape when needed.

A Work Studio

This tiktoker shares a shed that has been turned into a sewing studio. Whether it is a hobby or your full time position, you deserve to have that dedicated space for your passion. This shed owner also incorporated small reading nook into the corner to serve another passion of hers. How cool!

A Library Shed

As an avid reader, this may be one of my favorite shed concepts. There is nothing better than having a peaceful, cozy place to go read your favorite book. You could even take it a step further and have an open library for your friends and family.

A Gym Shed

Make working out as convenient as possible. Bringing a gym shed to your backyard can help you achieve your goals, save you time, and even help develop a healthy routine. Best part is: you always get the gym all to yourself.
